India Signs Deal With Russia To Acquire The Stealthy S-400 Air Defence System!


The BRICS summit is going on in Goa at the moment, where Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin gave a joint press statement today and signed multiple deals, strengthening the age-old ties between the two countries.


One of the biggest deals that was signed is for five S-400 Triumf air defence systems from Russia worth over $5 billion or Rs. 39,000 crore. The S-400 is considered to be one of the most advanced long range missile systems in the world and can tackle all incoming airborne targets at ranges of up to 400 km.

This defence system is capable of targeting 36 ballistic missiles of China and Pakistan and destroy them at once. Apart from missiles, the system can also take down drones and fighter jets.
