The Income Tax Department is on a roll, working for long hours, the IT department is doing exceptional work. There are raids taking place every single day and huge amount of money is being seized it in new currency notes. Post demonetization the corrupt are trying to hide their money in every way possible but the IT department is foiling every such attempt.
In Bangalore, officials from the Income Tax Department’s Karnataka and Goa region operations seized Rs 6 crore, including Rs 4.7 crore in new Rs 2000 denomination, along with huge bullion and jewellery from four persons.

In the search operations, apart from the cash in excess of Rs 6 crore, gold bullion weighing 7 kg approximately and jewellery in excess of 7 kg were also found, the I-T department said.
In Chennai, the IT officials raided eight locations, the homes of jewelers and sand miners in Tamil Nadu capital and seized Rs 90 crore in cash, of which 10 crore are new notes, and 100 kgs of gold. Of the cash found, Rs. 10 crore were in new notes, Rs. 80 crore in the banned old notes of Rs. 500 and Rs. 1,000, the teams also seized 100kg gold bars worth Rs 30 crore, sources said.
