Prime Minister Narendra Modi has always tried to maintain a level of transparency and constant touch with his citizens through his Twitter handle and post updates which get liked and re-tweeted thousands of times. Similarly, Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted this morning that he “skipped yoga” to meet his 95-year-old mother Heeraben in Gujarat’s Gandhinagar.
PM Modi is in his home state for the “Vibrant Gujarat” global summit which begins today. The mega event is centered on the theme “Sustainable Economic and Social Development“. A large number of foreign leaders, global and Indian CEOs are attending the eighth edition of the event which was started when PM Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat.
The phrase ‘SKIPPED YOGA’ offended none other than Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal who was ready to take a jibe once again at PM Narendra Modi and contributed tweeting something so meaningless in reply.
“I live with my mother, take her blessings everyday but don’t advertise it to the world. I also don’t make my mother stand in a bank queue for politics,” the Delhi Chief Minister commented in Hindi.
Responding to Modi’s tweet, Kejriwal said the Prime Minister should let his mother live with him as his residence was “big enough”.
According to Hindu religion and culture, one should keep his mother and wife with him. Prime Minister’s residence is quite big. “Have a little heart,” Kejriwal told Modi.
