After Bollywood Actor Akshay Kumar and cricketer Gautam Gambhir, IAS officers joined hands to support martyrs’ families. According to a report of PTI, families of security personnel will be adopted by IAS Officers who lost their lives during terrorist attacks, Maoist combat or maintaining law and order.

Officers will approach such families that come under their posting area and facilitate them by providing help in getting their dues like pension, allotment of services like jobs, petrol pumps etc.

The report clearly mentioned-“The officers would not be providing any direct monetary help to these families.”
